Today I was able to get back something the pandemic took away from me.
The simple joy of being able to help someone. During the past year my skin crawled every time I saw an elderly person at the store struggling to put a bag in their car. When I would see trash on the ground or shopping carts in the lot. Someone’s garbage can rolling into the street or a neighbor walking home from the store in the rain without an umbrella. The little kindness’ that fill your heart just a little everyday like shields that lessen the sting from any ugliness in the world.
Today I was able to help someone without them being fearful and it was glorious. Don’t let those moments pass you by. Seize the opportunity to be of service and savoir the return to your true nature.
